Loving Feng Shui

Sally was introduced to Feng Shui in 1990 while in Acupuncture school where she had the opportunity to learn the basics from a Feng Shui master. Further study over the years has inspired Sally to create beautiful healing environments in her home and clinic and in the homes and offices of friends and family.

As a form of environmental healing with ancient Asian roots, Feng Shui is a natural extension of Sally's practice in Traditional Chinese Medicine. She is a Certified Feng Shui Practitioner through the Western School of Feng Shui™ in Solana Beach, California.

Bagua Map - #2: Wealth & Prosperity Gua

Wealth! Abundance! Prosperity! Gratitude!

Where do the energetic forces of

this “Life Treasure” exist in your home?

fountain

To find out... follow the Bagua Map!

The Bagua Map is an important tool used in the practice of Feng Shui. The Bagua map can be superimposed over any building or landscape to indicate where the influences of eight specific “life treasures” such as health, wealth or creativity exist within the space. In Chinese, Ba means eight, and gua translates as “ever changing facets of life”. Using Feng Shui principles to energize any one of the eight “Gua” also enhances the area of life to which that Gua corresponds. For example, if you want to improve your health and family relations, pay special attention to the Health and Family Gua of your home. If your goal is to find meaningful work that best expresses your gifts, enhance your Career Gua.

To find the Wealth & Prosperity Gua in your home, follow these steps using the Feng Shui Bagua map below.

1. Superimpose the Bagua map (click on map for larger version) over an accurate floor plan drawing of your entire home, including the garage if it is attached.

2. Align the “entrance quadrant” located at the bottom the map with the entry of your home.

3. If your home is not square but rectangular, “stretch” the map to extend to all four corners of the home.

*Note: Your home may not form a perfect square or rectangle.  This means that one or more Gua is “missing” from the home’s structure and Feng Shui “cures” are in order, so consult an expert!

*Note: Your entry may be in the center of the entrance quadrant (Career) or to the right (Helpful People/Travel) or left of center (Self-Cultivation/Knowledge).

Wealth & Prosperity!

As you can see the Wealth & Prosperity Gua sits at the far left corner of your home as you stand at the entry facing into the house.

Energize this area when:

  • You want to increase your awareness of abundance.
  • You want greater cash flow.
  • You want to experience a greater sense of gratitude.
  • You want to increase fortunate synchronistic events in your life.
  • You are raising money for a special event or purpose.

Enhance this area with:

  • Active and eye catching or sound making items that “call in the Qi” such as, wind chimes, fountains, whirligigs, windsocks and flags.
  • Valuable collections, antiques, jewelry, crystals.
  • Photos or posters of desired possessions such as cars, boats, special clothing, homes or property and anything that gives a strong feeling of wealth.
  • Art or photos of flowing water such as rivers streams or water falls being collected into a lake or a round bowl container to symbolize the “capturing” of abundance.
  • The colors red, blue or purple.
  • Plants with shiny round, coin shaped leaves such as jade and plants that bloom in colors above.
  • Pictures or mobiles with colorful fish.
  • Fresh live, cut or silk flowers.
  • Water features including table top or garden
  • A special, rich looking bowl or box in which you place money.
  • Affirmations, quotes or sayings pertaining to gratitude and abundance.

Stay tuned for our next adventure through the Bagua as we explore the Fame & Reputation Gua!
