Boot Camp: Week 5 – Get to Your Goal NOW!

Welcome to Week 5 of Boot Camp for Your New LIFE!   Get to Your Goal NOW!
(The secret of “The Secret!”)

Everything that we desire in life is desired for the same reason – and that is simply to experience certain desirable emotions. When you think about your perfect life, are you not also expecting that you will feel a certain way when your dream life becomes a reality?  Of course you are.  If you were to create your dream life and you still felt empty, disappointed or simply not that happy, would you have manifested what you really want?  Of course not!

Without the wonderful feelings that we anticipate coming about, with the manifestation of our dreams, our dreams are meaningless.  The only reason that we ever want anything is in order to feel a certain way.  The goal of any desire is to create feelings such as joy, happiness, success, love, or peace.  If you get what you want and you still feel bad, you haven’t really accomplished anything.

It only seems like outside experiences and situations control our lives and our emotions because of the stories we tell ourselves.

Do you want to know the truth?  Nothing ever makes us feel good or bad – happy or sad.  We choose to feel in these ways based on the stories we tell ourselves about our lives.  If we perceive that things are going well, we tell ourselves stories that make us feel good.  If we perceive things as going bad, we tell ourselves stories that make us feel bad.  Even if things went fabulous and you still told yourself that it wasn’t good enough, you would feel bad. The opposite is true as well and that is the point!

Our emotions always follow the stories we make up about our lives.
You don’t need to change your life in order to feel great.
You just need to change your stories.

If the goal in life is to feel a certain desirable way, and feeling that way is not based on what is happening in our lives, but rather the stories we tell ourselves about what is happening, then we don’t need to wait a moment longer to reach our goals.  That’s right! Whatever feeling you believe the accomplishment of your dreams and desires will make you feel, you can create right now simply by choosing thoughts and ideas that bring about those feelings.  In this way, your goal is only a thought away.

Are you ready for the best part?

Once you start feeling the way in which you believe you will feel at the completion of your greatest dream, that dream will actually start moving towards you.  You will be utilizing one of the best secrets of manifestation!   Energy attracts like energy- and emotions are energy!  Did you ever notice that when you start off having a bad day, things just keep getting worse?  It is because your feelings keep attracting more of the same.  The worse you feel – the worse things get.  On that same token, the better you feel, the better things get.  When you are feeling deliriously happy, the Universe will conspire on your behalf and bring you things that reflect your good feelings.  The world is our mirror and provides us exactly that which we energize through our feelings.  If you are telling yourself a “poor me” story, you are likely to get more challenging experiences to support that story.  If you are telling yourself a story of abundance, life will treat you like royalty.

Keep in mind that our lives are constructed from all the stories we tell ourselves and each other.  The goal is not to rid your life of stories. You need stories to construct your life. The goal is to consciously choose only stories which make you feel good and contribute to the manifestation of your dreams and desires.  Get it?

If you want to know what stories you are telling yourself, simply look at each area of your life; relationships, finances, health, life style, career etc…

Turn it Around!

Your power to manifest what you desire lies in your ability to create feelings that will attract exactly that which you want.  Stop waiting for life to meet your needs and wants.  Start feeling the good feelings that you anticipate feeling once those needs and desires are met and before you know it, the world will obediently match and mirror your feelings.

Pull out your “Dream Sheet” from week 1 and read it over carefully. Ask yourself, “How will I feel once my dreams and desires are finally met?”  Write that answer down.  This is the real goal that you are trying to create – the feeling of (fill in the blank).  Once you know your true goal, it is time to consciously change or improve some of your life stories to help create that particular feeling(s).

How do you do it?

Each day for the next five days, you will be focusing on changing your stories for one particular area of your life.  You will need a journal or notepad in order to record all your stories.  An example is listed beneath day 5 – below.

Day 1: Relationships

Write down all the stories you tell yourself about your relationships and the people to whom you relate.

Next to each story, write down the feeling(s) that each story makes you feel.

  1. If the story makes you feel good, see if you can change the story to make yourself feel even better.  If the story makes you feel bad, change and adjust the story until it provokes the best feeling possible.  Ultimately, the new story should create the feeling(s), you most want to feel when you create your dream life.
Day 2: Career

Write down all the stories you tell yourself about your career or work – include stories about what you are currently doing and any stories that prevent you from what you really want to do.

  1. Next to each story, write down the feeling(s) that each story makes you feel.
  2. If the story makes you feel good, see if you can change the story to make yourself feel even better.  If the story makes you feel bad, change and adjust the story until it provokes the best feeling possible.  Ultimately, the new story should create the feeling(s), you most want to feel when you create your dream life
Day 3: Health/Body

Write down all the stories you tell yourself about your health and body.
  1. Next to each story, write down the feeling(s) that each story makes you feel.
  2. If the story makes you feel good, see if you can change the story to make yourself feel even better.  If the story makes you feel bad, change and adjust the story until it provokes the best feeling possible.  Ultimately, the new story should create the feeling(s), you most want to feel when you create your dream life.
Day 4: Finances

Write down all the stories you tell yourself about your finances and include your beliefs about money.

  1. Next to each story, write down the feeling(s) that each story makes you feel.
  2. If the story makes you feel good, see if you can change the story to make yourself feel even better.  If the story makes you feel bad, change and adjust the story until it provokes the best feeling possible.  Ultimately, the new story should create the feeling(s), you most want to feel when you create your dream life
Day 5: Your Choice

Write down all the stories you tell yourself about this area of your life.

  1. Next to each story, write down the feeling(s) that each story makes you feel.
  2. If the story makes you feel good, see if you can change the story to make yourself feel even better.  If the story makes you feel bad, change and adjust the story until it provokes the best feeling possible.  Ultimately, the story of this part of your life should create the feeling(s), you most want to feel when you create your dream life.

Example:

Day 1: Relationships

Write down all the stories you tell yourself about your relationships and the people to whom you relate.

The people I love always leave me.  I always give more to others than they give to me.

Next to each story, write down the feeling(s) that each story makes you feel.

* The people I love always leave me – this story makes me feel lonely.
*
I always give more to others than they give to me – this story makes me feel unloved.

My new stories: The people I love – love to be with me.  I accept much love and gifts from others.  These new stories make me feel loved and wanted.

Once you determine your new stories, it is your job to continue to choose to tell yourself these new supportive stories.  Whenever you find yourself feeling bad or sad, it is an indication that you are telling yourself an old negative story.  Immediately, stop and recognize the story you are telling yourself and then replace it with your new story.  Do this over and over again, until the new story is your only story.  By doing this consistently, you are re-wiring your brain and actually changing the chemistry in your body, as well as the energy that you send out to the world – the same magnetic energy that attracts everything in your life to you.  If you continue to practice this one exercise until it sticks, you will wake up one day and find yourself living an amazing new life!  Let that day be today!
