Boot Camp: Week 3 – Re-claim Your POWER!

Welcome to Week 3 – Re-claim Your POWER!

No matter how you feel right now, you are an infinitely powerful being.  There is nothing that you can’t accomplish if you believe that you can and you commit to the goal.  The key to any serious accomplishment is, simply, owning your power. 

As powerful beings with Free Will, we have the choice of how we “spend our power”.
We “spend our power” in every way that we spend our energy.  In other words, the expression of our power lies in our energy.  Wherever we focus our physical, mental and spiritual energy is where we are "spending our power".   We can spend our power doing things we love to do and being with people we love to be with or we can spend our power doing things we dislike and being with people who make us feel drained.  Although it may seem otherwise, you have the absolute choice on where and how you spend your energy – you spend your power.  The more power you spend wisely with consciousness and presence, the more power you will have to spend. 

As you start to think of your energy as your power, you will notice that your energy will begin to have more meaning to you. Many of us think of our energy in terms of the time we devote to something.  Most people tend to “throw away” time and dis-respect it by doing things they don’t want to do; staying at jobs that don’t serve their highest good and remaining in relationships that suck them dry. - Without realizing that time is energy and energy is power, many of us carelessly throw our power away.  Until now.
How do you know if you are throwing your power away? 

If you answer yes to any of the following, you are most likely throwing your power away.

  • Do you feel drained at any time during the day?
  • Do you feel that everyone wants something from you?
  • Do you never have any time for yourself?
  • Do you easily feel frustrated, annoyed or angry?
  • Do you use alcohol, food or anything else to try to make yourself feel better?
  • Are you often stressed out?
  • Is it hard to get up in the morning?
  • Do you feel that your life is without purpose?

You are someone who owns your power if:

  • You have an unlimited amount of energy.
  • You feel that your time and energy are respected and honored by others.
  • You make time for yourself a priority – no exceptions.
  • Your general nature is peaceful and loving.
  • You are excited to get up in the morning.
  • You experience a sense of life purpose. 

This week is dedicated to re-claiming your power!  Follow along on all the exercises below, and you will be amazed at how great you feel within 5 days!

Day 1 - STOP Negative self-talk!
Nothing drains your energy more than negative self-talk.  Think about how you feel when you are telling yourself that you can’t do something or you are putting yourself down in any way..  Does that make you feel energized or like crawling in a hole and hiding?  Every time you self-criticize – and especially when you believe what you tell yourself - you are giving away HUGE amounts of energy.  If you shall accept this mission: from this day forward, I am personally putting you on a NO NEGATIVE SELF-TALK diet!  Yes, that is right, if you really are ready to change your life, the first thing that has to go is the negative self-talk.  The way to instantly recognize negative self-talk is simply to notice when you feel bad.  If you feel bad, it’s likely because you are telling yourself things that make you feel bad. Every time you catch yourself “in the act”, simply stop the thought, say “NO!” to it and replace it with a positive thought that you can easily believe.  Every time you do this, you are actually re-wiring your brain.  After a while, you will notice that your head is only filled with wonderful, supportive thoughts.  Imagine the power that will be created in your life!

Day 2 –Say “good-bye” to Energy suckers
O.K, you know exactly who they are.  Believe me, you are not helping them by allowing them to suck your energy.  It is time that you take your energy back and create a boundary with yourself that says “no one is allowed to suck my energy!”  Once you make that boundary with yourself, it is necessary to enforce it in the world.  That might mean that you start saying “no” when you really want to say “no.”, you don’t allow yourself to get dragged into anyone’s “poor me” story, you absolutely don’t allow anyone to criticize you or it might mean that you end or limit certain relationships.  If you don’t feel energized at the end of any inter-action or conversation, you have allowed your energy to be sucked.  Clean up this area of your life and tons of energy will be restored to you – instantly!

Day 3 – Complete Self-Care
You absolutely must MAKE the TIME for YOURSELF!  It is absolutely ridiculous that most of us are last on our lists.  It seems that everyone and everything comes before us and then, the only time left is to sleep – if we are lucky.  This must absolutely change if you are ready and willing to reclaim your power.  I know that this might seem harsh but you must become your first and most important priority.  No – this does not make you selfish.  It does, however, make you “SELF-FULL”.   It is only when you are completely full that you can ever be there for anyone else.  How productive are you when you are empty and in need of something?  How loving are you when you feel depleted and lacking?  Think about that.  It is only when we are completely FULL that we are truly able to give to another.  Do whatever it takes to totally care for yourself.  Start by pampering yourself, spending time in nature, meditating – or just deep breathing.  As you learn to truly honor yourself, you will pull energy into your being.  You will become clearer about what it is that you really want to do with your life.  Your health and well-being will improve.  You will begin to know the power that lies within. 

Day 4 – Honor Every Moment of Your Life!
Every moment of your life is a gift.  Most of us throw away this gift by doing things that we don’t want to do. Why do we do things that we don’t want to do? Usually, it is because we are trying to get our emotional needs met.  A great deal of what most of us do in our lives is to get love, approval, acceptance and appreciation or to avoid things like abandonment, rejection or anything that we might fear.  We give our time and energy away in exchange for an emotional need.  To be blunt, we prostitute our time to create a false sense of security.  The ironic part is that it never really works.  No one else can fill those needs for us.  We are the only ones who can meet all our emotional needs.  If you don’t love yourself, you cannot accept love from someone else.  If you don’t appreciate yourself, anyone else’s appreciation for you will fall in an endless void.  It cannot fill you up. Only you can fill you up.  Yes, in order to start owning your life, you must own your needs and start meeting them yourself.  When you love and accept yourself unconditionally, you won’t be bending over backwards trying to get someone else to love and accept you.  Just think of all the energy and power you will reclaim just for showing up for yourself – just for truly loving yourself – without conditions.  This is truly the biggest change you can now make in your life. 

Day 5 - Presence – be in the absolute NOW!
Every moment that we are living in the past or the future, is a moment that we have sacrificed.  It is gone forever – and with it, our power.  True power lies in this moment only.  If we are distracted by worries, fears, regrets or negative self-talk, we are not present.  If we are not present, we are powerless.  How can you possibly have power in this moment, if you are not really in this moment?  Being completely present in the moment means that you drop all your story telling, you get out of your head, you stop listening to every thought you have and you put your FULL AWARENESS on whatever is happening in this moment only – even if you don’t like the moment.  Every time you distract yourself with anything - you hand your power away – you give your energy away.  The fastest way, to re-claim your power, is simply to become present – now.  Be Present Now.  That’s it.  If you are not the witness to your life, who is?  If you are not the one living this precious moment, who is?  Your life is asking you to show up – completely, by being present in this and every moment.  Practice doing this everyday and watch how your energy re-organizes itself and you start to feel more peaceful, centered and clear.  When you become someone who lives every moment in presence, you will be the happiest and wisest person who has ever lived.  Imagine that. 

Each of this week’s exercises is not to be done once and thrown away.  Each exercise is actually a complete change in how you have, probably, lived your life, up to this moment. The true results of these shifts can only be fully realized when the “practice becomes the way”.  If you keep practicing each of these new life strategies for an extended period of time, at some point you are no longer “doing” them.  They are a part of you and naturally resonate from you without any effort or conscious thought on your part. 

This is your Invitation to a New Life!  Take it seriously.  You now know the biggest secrets to transforming your life. Your higher self is waiting patiently for you accept this invitation and start living the grandest life possible.  From this moment on, you have the power and the tools to choose your destiny.  Use this infinite power wisely, my friend, and watch miracles unfold within the weave of your life.
