Boot Camp: Week 2 – Get Real & Tell the Truth!
In week 1 you activated your imagination and as a result you should now have a clearer picture of what you want in your life. As you work through boot camp in the next few weeks, keep your imagination ignited by using your vision board and going on “dream vacations” every day. Week 2 – Get Real and Tell the Truth! Yes, that is right – I said “good news”. It is good news because in the mending of your own life you grow into the person you need to become in order to manifest your dream life. When you confront your current life head on, you develop the courage, skills and knowledge necessary to create and attract exactly that which you want. Whatever it is that you do want is on the other side of what you don’t want. Think about that. The obstacles in your life are not keeping you from having the life you want. Your obstacles are there to help you attain exactly that which you truly want. Imagine those darn obstacles are gifts! In overcoming each of your current challenges, you are creating the life you dream about. The following example deals with relationships but in order to change your life you must “get real” and tell the truth in every area of your life. Let’s say you are in an unhappy relationship with a partner who refuses to “work on” the relationship. You might say that your current partner is an obstacle in attracting the perfect relationship you dream about. The first thing to do is tell the truth about this relationship. You might say something like “my current partner is less than ideal and does not support my highest good. I know this relationship has no chance of improving”. Once you tell this truth, you now have a platform from which to act. When you truly know that your current relationship will never adequately change for the better, you can take action to end it. Until you tell yourself the truth, you will go around in a loop of suffering – hoping that things will change but they never do. Once the truth is revealed and doubt melts away, you can take action. The action you take might be finding a new place to live, “finding yourself” again and stepping up self-care in every way so that you are number one in your life again. Buried within the actions you take to overcome the obstacle of an unhealthy relationship, you become the exact person you need to be in order to attract the kind of mate with whom you would be most happy. Get it? This is true for every challenge in every area of your life. Every obstacle you overcome helps you become the person you need to be in order to attract your perfect life. The first step in overcoming your obstacles is simply aligning yourself with your own truth. Doesn’t this make you feel excited to start telling the truth about the more challenging areas of your life?
You already possess the wisdom and know-how to change your life
How do I tell the truth if I’m not certain of what the truth is? If while answering the following questions, you don’t know an answer, simply “make it up”. In “making it up” you are bypassing the small part of you that is hiding the answer and you are directly accessing your intuitive center - getting in direct contact with the perfect answer to your questions and challenges. In “making it up”, you are really uncovering a higher truth that lies dormant in your unconscious mind. So, if you don’t know an answer to any of the following, “make it up”. One more thing, have fun and remember not to judge yourself. Play the curious observer – and simply accept the truth without a disempowering story attached. This is the key to success. Questions about money and finances are intentionally left out. Many people focus on money as the cause of their problems and/or look to money as the solution to their problems. This exercise is intentionally designed to take the emphasis off money. Money is never the problem or the solution despite how it might seem. For the course of this boot camp, I invite you to take the spotlight off money and put it back on yourself and your life. When we become in alignment with our true selves and our highest good, we are always easily provided for. The following exercise does not require action. The purpose of the exercise is to realign you with your own truth. Action will come at a later time. Having said that, many of you will feel inspired to take direct and immediate action just by completing this process. If that is the case, follow your inner guidance and go for it! For the next 5 days you will be exploring the truth in various areas of your life (remember to print this out for easy reference). Please feel free to change any question to fit a more challenging area of your life. In other words, if all your relationships are perfect, you might want to change the question to explore things like confidence, fun, self-care, unfinished projects etc…. Remember – be truthful but kind to yourself while exploring this process and have fun playing the curious observer.
Day 2
Day 3
By “day 5” you should have an excellent assessment of your current life. You may have even taken some serious actions that have caused instant change. Nevertheless, congratulate yourself for “getting real” and being completely honest. You have just taken a huge leap towards creating your dream life.
